Enjoy great food and wine

So many fabulous restaurants and cafes to choose from around Milton!

Try some wonderful breads from Flour,Water, Salt, the organic sour dough bakery in Milton. This is the bread you get in your breakfast hamper! They also do great coffee, cake, sandwiches and gourmet pies.

St Isidore on Croobyar road overlooks a beautiful rural landscape. It is fully licensed and open Thursday to Sunday. The Tipsy Fig, Bacchus, and Coastal Indulgence continue to provide top quality food and excellent service. A new cafe, Little Gunga has a wonderful atmosphere and great coffee.

If you venture a little further from the Milton Township there is an excellent new restaurant called Ceto in Ulladulla overlooking the harbour. The food, service and views are superb! Another restaurant well worth a visit is Tallwood in Tallwood ave at Mollymook.

Rick Stein's restaurant at Bannisters and the award winning Cupitt's Winery and Vineyard Kitchen is also well worth a visit. Bannisters Pool Bar is open 7 days from 6.00pm. This is a great place to enjoy a gourmet pizza, fresh salad, burger or seafood from you poolside sun lounge at the pizza and cocktail bar. They have live music on the first, third and fifth Fridays of the month and alternate Sundays.

What's to Eat gourmet deli is full of delights, from local and imported cheeses to cold meats, antipasto and Jasper Peel rustic breads. Why not order a special picnic lunch from them? We will collect it for you and put it into one of our picnic hampers. We have a 4 person carry bag hamper and a 2 person picnic backpack.

For something different in December and January visit the Clyde River Berry Farm and pick your own berries. Blueberries are a speciality.

Streets stalls in Milton on the first Saturday of each month and the huge Mollymook beach marker runs on the fifth Sunday of the month as well as on Australia day. The Ulladulla Wharf markets are held on the second Sunday of each month.

Gondwana Coast Fossil Walk

This is an exciting, enjoyable 2.5 hour activity conducted in a beautiful natural heritage environment that could add another dimension to your holiday.

Since last summer this walk has taken giant steps forward and attracted major sponsorship from Geoscience Australia. Mollymook geologist Phil Smart says that Ulladulla could become Australia's top geo-tourism destination on par with the English Jurassic Coast.

Tours are arranged for December and January scheduled to coincide with low tide.

Spring Happenings Around Milton

Celebrate Spring at Cupitts Winery and Restaurant

Cupitts multi-award winning winery and restaurant is a special South Coast food and wine experience. It is open for lunch Wednesday to Sunday and dinner Fridays and Saturdays. On Saturday 26th October there will be an Oktoberfest long table lunch from mid day until 6.00 pm. The cost is $60 including 3 courses.

Ceto Ulladulla

For a new dining experience try Ceto, a new restaurant in Ulladulla with stunning views of the harbour. The food is superb and the service is excellent. 

They are open Monday nights so great for mid week guests. These is a wonderful tasting menu for $75 pp.


Ulladulla Harbourfeast Food and Wine Festival

The recent Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide raved about the standard of food available in the Milton Ulladulla region. And the best food from local chefs will be put on show during this festival on November the 9 at the Ulladulla wharf area. Rosie Cupitt will talk about wine and cheese making, there will be a cook off and degustation plates will be available at reasonable prices. Cost of entry $10 per adults.

Milton Follies at Milton Theatre in November

The Milton Follies Theatre group will present the comedy “Noises Off” at the Milton Theatre in November. Hailed as one the funniest British comedies This hilarious farce hurtles along at disastrous speed. There will be performances at 7.00 pm on the 8 ,9, 15 and 16th November and 2.00 pm on Sunday 10th and Sunday 17th November. Tickets $25. Just let us know and we will organise tickets for you.

In the cooler weather with the longer nights our movie library is always popular, and, of course comes at no extra charge. We continue to add to our collection.

Enjoy a unique experience at the Milton Theatre

Did you know that Milton has its own 200 seat historic theatre? It was used for movies until about 10 years ago and has been recently refurbished. It is now used for live theatre, community performances and as a recording studio. Information about the theatre and coming performances can be viewed at www.miltontheatre.com.au if there is a performance you would like to attend we would be happy to arrange for tickets for you.

Shopping and Dining in Milton

A recent article on the South Coast in the Sunday paper travel page identified Milton as the place to shop! Winter is a great time to browse through the interesting boutiques in Milton and find something unique.

There are also many wonderful dining out options from cafes to top class restaurants. If you call us we can recommend a suitable place to meet your needs.

Play with Clay

Many of our guests are enjoying the experience of learning to throw a pot on the wheel. Cost is $40 per hour for one person and $60 per hour for 2 people. Please let us know when you book if you are interested and we’ll arrange a suitable time.

Walking Time


Winter is a great time for walking and this area has limitless options, from the difficult but spectacular Pigeon House to the easier but also spectacular Mount Bushwalker. There are also magnificent coastal walks and what better time for a beach walk and picnic.

Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve is only a few minutes’ drive from here. It was gazetted in 1986 and conserves important coastal forest, estuarine wetlands and the breeding and feeding areas of Pattimores Lagoon. It's coastline of nearly five kilometres is backed by a parallel dune system and an area of natural woodlands and forest. Take in the beauty of coastal forests, quiet beaches, honeycombed rock platforms and beautiful estuaries.

We have picnic backpacks and rugs available at no extra cost and will organise a picnic lunch for you with 48 hours notice.
